I must of been living in a cocoon for the last decade. I have only just discovered Shirley of Hollywood and can not believe their current collection of sexy lingerie. my favourites are the basques. They are original, eye catching and just screams sexiness.

The only thing that I have to however is find a stockist  near me. They do not sell direct to the public and every contact they have on their website is at least 10,000 miles away from me. So annoying as I am that overwhelmed by their products I could spend the limit on my credit card now. God I feel like screaming, anyone that knows me will tell you that when I want something, I want it now.

Lily Cole is not new to the modelling scene having appeared on numerous cat walks and posed nude for famous photographers. She was already building herself a high profile however her appearance in the recent H&M show for Sonia Rykiel’s  new classy lingerie collection, is bound to get her more attention and more lingerie work then ever before.

The lingerie model happens to be very talented  and at the same time can state movie roles on her list of accomplishments. All this at such a young age of 21 must be overwhelming but she now has a net worth of over 6 million. The lingerie, modelling and film industry obviously  pays very well.  Along with the success of her appearance at the H&M fashion show, she will also appear in the famous Pirelli Calender for 2010. We look forward to seeing it Lily.

French lingerie all under one roof comes to us in a website called “Luxury French Lingerie.”  Sometimes when I am not in the mood for surfing the net or trailing from store to store then I love to have everything in one place so I can shop at my own pace. When women get together we discuss fine lingerie, when men get together they discuss  lingerie models.  I can join in a discussion with the men but only to  pay homage to the veterans of fine lingerie modelling of which my favourite is Eva Herzigova.  The woman known for taking the push up bra into the 20th century.

Perhaps it was because when she made it to the big time I was just entering that stage of starting to wear bra’s.  I so desperately wanted to wear the fine lingerie she was advertising instead of my plain dull training bra.  For me she will always be one of the first  models that took fine lingerie into to a new dimension.

Victoria’s Secret  keeps bringing out amazing ladies lingerie every year but one of my favorite’s  is the  Ultimate lift bra selection.  Their miraculous push up bra gives you an extra two cup sizes but with a natural shape so you don’t get people asking you if you have had a boob job!.

The bra comes in many colours and in Satin or lace.  For a cool $48 it is well worth the money.  Well done Victoria’s secret for bringing your collection of ladies lingerie to the Uk. This is going to be serious competition for La Senza and La Magia, which I am more than looking forward to.

Romantic lingerie accounts for about 50% of lingerie purchases both in high street stores and on the internet. Both men and women buy romantic lingerie however there is a fine line between romantic lingerie and lingerie that screams lust. There are some very simple ways to distinguish the two and they are  style, colour and material.

Looking at style first, then the best tip to help you when you are looking for romantic lingerie is at the same time look for elegant lingerie. Elegant lingerie means no holes where they are not needed, no chains, no studs and no zips. All these styles are  for  racy, lustful  lingerie. I am sure you know this already but just to clarify as well. No teddy  bears or large flowers either, these are known as comfort pyjamas and suit a ten-year old child more. Just remember elegant lingerie means simple.

Colour is a very important thing to remember as it is  known to send a message to our brains and have an effect on our moods and reactions.  Romantic lingerie should be  various tones of red, pink, purple or  blue.  Of course the most romantic colour is red,  think of 12 red roses, love hearts  and valentines day.
